Quick Start Guide

The Instant Vortex Dual 8L Air Fryer features two independent baskets for versatile cooking. Before first use, remove all packaging materials and wash the cooking trays and baskets with hot water and dish soap. Ensure the unit is placed on a stable, level surface with at least 13 cm of clearance on all sides for proper airflow.

Safety Instructions

  • Placement: Operate only on a stable, non-combustible, level surface. Do not place near hot gas or electric burners.
  • General Use: Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles and oven mitts. Do not cover the cooking tray with foil as this causes overheating.
  • Air Frying: Do not use ceramic-coated or stoneware pots. Do not overfill the baskets. Do not use cooking oil or spray directly on the cooking container; spray food lightly if needed.
  • Electrical: Do not immerse the power cord or appliance in water. Unplug when not in use and before cleaning.

Control Panel Overview

The control panel allows for independent control of the left and right baskets. Key features include:

  • Basket Selectors (1 & 2): Choose the basket you wish to program.
  • SyncCook: Matches settings for both baskets.
  • SyncFinish: Ensures both baskets finish cooking at the same time, even with different programs.
  • Smart Programs: Air Fry, Roast, Bake, Grill, Reheat, and Dehydrate.

Cooking Procedures

Cooking in One Basket

  1. Insert the basket.
  2. Press the basket selector (1 or 2).
  3. Select the desired Smart Program.
  4. Adjust time and temperature using the arrow keys.
  5. Press Start.
  6. When the display shows 'Add Food', add ingredients.
  7. When the display shows 'Turn Food', carefully turn or rotate ingredients.

Dual Basket Cooking

You can cook in both baskets simultaneously using three methods:

  • Dual Basket Cooking: Set different programs and settings for each basket.
  • SyncCook: Use the same program and settings for both baskets. Press the SyncCook button after setting the first program.
  • SyncFinish: Set different programs but ensure they finish at the same time. Press the SyncFinish button after setting both programs.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Always allow the appliance to cool completely before cleaning.

  • Cooking Trays: Dishwasher safe. Avoid metal utensils or scouring pads.
  • Baskets: Clean with a damp cloth and mild dish soap; dishwasher safe.
  • Cooking Chamber: Wipe with a damp cloth. Check heating coils for oil splatter. For stubborn residue, use a mixture of baking soda and vinegar.

Troubleshooting

If the unit fails to turn on, ensure it is plugged in and the basket is fully inserted. If black smoke appears, it is likely due to oil with a low smoke point; cancel the program and clean the heating element. If white smoke appears, it is often due to high-fat foods; remove excess fat before cooking.

Error Codes

If the display shows E1 or E2, there is an issue with the circuit or temperature sensor. Please contact Customer Care for assistance.
