User Guide for Wampler Golden Jubilee Overdrive and Distortion Pedal

The Wampler Golden Jubilee is a dual-channel pedal featuring Distortion (DS) and Overdrive (OD) circuits. To begin, connect your instrument to the Input jack and your amplifier to the Output jack. The pedal requires a 9-18V DC power source. Use the toggle switches to configure the character of each channel and the signal order between them.

Controls and operation

The pedal features a shared set of controls for both channels:

• Level: Controls the total output volume. Turning clockwise increases the volume.
• Tone: Adjusts the high-end frequencies. Turning clockwise increases the high-end presence.
• Gain: Adjusts the amount of gain. Turning clockwise increases the gain level.

Advanced settings

The pedal includes specific switches to shape your tone:

• DS Character: Adjusts between Bright (Left) and Dark (Right) for the Distortion channel.
• OD Character: Adjusts between Normal (Left) and Hard Clipping (Right) for the Overdrive channel.
• Order: Determines the signal path between channels. The Left position routes OD into DS, while the Right position routes DS into OD.

Power requirements

To ensure proper operation and avoid damage to the pedal, adhere to the following power guidelines:

• Use only a 9-18V DC power source intended for guitar pedals.
• Do not use AC power.
• Do not use center-pin positive adapters.
• The pedal draws approximately 30mA at 9V and 30mA at 18V.

Suggested settings

Use these settings as a starting point to find your perfect tone:

• Blues Crunch: Mild breakup, great for the blues.
• Classic Crunch: Harder distortion, great for classic rock.
• Lead Boost: Low to medium gain transparent, like an extra amp gain channel.
• Meaty Distortion: Heavier, thicker distortion with plenty of grunt.
• Solo Crunch: High gain solo tones, crunchy, mid-focused.
• Fluid Solo: Creamy liquid articulation, great solo tone with a beefy low end.
