Program Selector

Use the Program Selector to choose between 11 different delay types:

  • ANLG: Analog delay
  • WET: Modulated analog
  • BBD: Bucket Brigade delay
  • JET: Analog flanger delay
  • DOC: The Doctor
  • FTE: Faux Tape Echo
  • ETH: Ethereal
  • MOD: Digital flanger delay
  • SPC: Echo-Space delay
  • TAPE: Multi-head tape delay
  • DIGI: Digital delay

Primary Controls

The primary knobs control the core sound of the delay:

  • Delay: Sets delay time between 25ms (CCW) and 2000ms (CW).
  • Mod: Sets modulation depth (CCW lowest, CW highest).
  • Feedback: Sets delay feedback (CCW lowest, CW highest).
  • Mix: Sets dry/wet signal mix. 0% is 100% dry, 75% is 100% dry + 100% wet, 100% is 100% wet.
  • Tone: Sets delay tone.

Alternate Functions

To access alternate functions on the knobs, hold down the Bypass Switch (the LED will turn red). Alternate functions include:

  • Delay Knob: Sets modulation rate for all effects.
  • Mod Knob: Sets modulation rate for all effects.
  • Feedback Knob: Selects head combination (TAPE mode) or Ethereal mode (ETH mode).
  • Mix Knob: Sets total output level (0% = -6dB, 50% = 0dB, 100% = +6dB).
  • Tone Knob: Sets modulation feedback for JET and MOD programs.

Switches and Presets

  • Bypass Switch: Turns the delay effect on/off. Hold to access alternate knob functions.
  • Preset Switch: Increments presets. Hold to initiate save. When bypass is held, it selects subdivisions.
  • Tap Tempo Switch: Triggers tap tempo (LED blue) or increments presets (LED green). Hold for 1 second to toggle modes. Pressing this switch exits Preset save mode.

Connections and Power

  • Power: 9V DC only, 130mA.
  • MIDI: Input/Output via 3.5mm TRS.
  • Expression: 1/4 inch Expression Pedal Input.
  • I/O: Mono or Stereo Input and Output jacks.
  • Trails Switch: Selects between True Bypass (left) and Trails (right).

Practical help

Common problems

Cannot access alternate knob functions

Hold down the Bypass switch; the LED will turn red to indicate you are in alternate function mode.

Need to save a preset

Hold the Preset switch to initiate the save process.

Need to change Tap Tempo modes

Hold the Tap Tempo switch for 1 second to toggle between Tap Tempo and Preset increment modes.

Exiting Preset save mode

Press the Tap Tempo switch.

Before use

  • Ensure power supply is 9V DC and provides at least 130mA.
  • Use 3.5mm TRS cables for MIDI connections.
  • Use 1/4 inch cables for Expression pedal and audio I/O.
  • Set the Trails Slide Switch to your preference (True Bypass or Trails).

Specs in practice

Output Level (Alt)
Adjustable via Mix knob in Alt mode: 0% = -6dB, 50% = 0dB, 100% = +6dB.

Images and diagrams

  • The main diagram illustrates the pedal interface, showing the location of the Program Selector, primary knobs, switches, and input/output jacks.
  • The diagram highlights the dual-function nature of the knobs (Primary vs. Alt) and switches.

Model compatibility

  • Supports both Mono and Stereo input/output configurations.
  • MIDI Input/Output requires 3.5mm TRS connections.
  • Compatible with standard 1/4 inch expression pedals.
