Table of contents
Service Overview
This document outlines the service and calibration procedures for Xylem EBI series data loggers. It provides information regarding initial inspections and the standards used for calibration.
Service Scope
The service provided by Xylem Analytics includes:
- Initial Inspection: A preliminary assessment of the device to ensure proper functionality. Please note that if no repair, certification, or new purchase occurs, inspection costs may be charged.
- ISO Calibration: Calibration performed according to internally defined procedures using reference instruments traceably calibrated by accredited laboratories.
- Accredited Calibration: Calibration performed according to DIN EN ISO / IEC 17025 (DAkkS).
Calibration Notes
For data loggers with interchangeable probes from the EBI 300 and EBI 310 product series, the external sensor is calibrated by default during accredited calibration. Calibration of the internal sensor must be ordered separately.
Calibration Points
The document provides detailed tables listing standard ISO calibration points for the following product series:
- EBI 2 Series: Temperature, Temperature/Humidity, and Temperature/Pressure loggers.
- EBI 20 Series: Temperature and Temperature/Humidity loggers.
- EBI 25 Series: Temperature and Temperature/Humidity loggers.
- EBI 40 Series: Temperature loggers with various probe configurations.
- EBI 300 Series: Temperature and Temperature/Humidity loggers.
- EBI 310 Series: Extensive list of temperature loggers, including various probe and adapter configurations (TPX series).
Practical help
Common problems
For EBI 300/310 series, the external sensor is calibrated by default. The internal sensor requires a separate calibration order.
Xylem reserves the right to charge for initial inspections if no subsequent repair, certification, or new purchase takes place.
Before use
- Identify your specific EBI series (2, 20, 25, 40, 300, or 310).
- Determine if you require standard ISO calibration or accredited (DAkkS) calibration.
- Check if your device uses interchangeable probes (specifically EBI 300/310 series) to ensure correct calibration ordering.
Specs in practice
- Calibration Points
- The specific temperature, humidity, or pressure values at which the device is tested to verify accuracy against reference instruments.
- DIN EN ISO / IEC 17025 (DAkkS)
- The standard for accredited calibration, ensuring the highest level of traceability and competence.
Model compatibility
- Calibration points vary significantly by model and probe type; refer to the specific table for your model number.
- EBI 310 TX models have specific calibration requirements for both the logger and the connected probe/adapter.
