The Acurite 00249DI Sportsmans Weather Station provides local weather forecasts, hunting and fishing activity meters, and precise timekeeping. Before use, remove the protective film from the LCD screen. The system requires both a display unit and an outdoor sensor to function. Proper placement and battery installation are critical for accurate data.

Setup and Battery Installation

For optimal performance, use high-quality alkaline batteries. In temperatures below -4°F (-20°C), use lithium batteries for the outdoor sensor.

• Outdoor Sensor: Slide off the battery cover, insert 2 x AA batteries following the polarity diagram, and replace the cover.
• Display Unit: Slide off the stand, remove the battery cover, insert 3 x AA batteries following the polarity diagram, and replace the cover and stand.

Intelli-Time Clock and Settings

The device features an Intelli-Time clock that sets itself. To customize settings, press and hold the SET button in the battery compartment to enter SET MODE. Use the arrow buttons to adjust values and the SET button to confirm. You can configure the time zone, DST, clock time, calendar date, temperature units (°F/°C), and pressure units (inHg/hPa).

Placement Guidelines

For maximum accuracy, follow these placement rules:

• Place the display in a dry area away from dirt and dust.
• Place the outdoor sensor in a shaded area protected from direct weather elements, 4 to 8 feet above the ground.
• Keep units within 165 ft (50 m) of each other.
• Maintain at least 3 ft (0.9 m) distance from electronic devices like TVs or computers to avoid interference.

Operation and Features

The station uses a 14-day Learning Mode to calibrate pressure data for your specific location. The Hunting and Fishing Activity Meters predict wildlife activity based on weather and lunar data. The weather forecast icon provides a 12-24 hour outlook.

Care and Maintenance

Clean the display and sensor with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid caustic cleaners. The Intelli-Time clock uses a CR2032 coin-cell battery for memory backup. To replace it, unscrew the compartment cover on the back of the display and insert a new CR2032 battery with the positive (+) side facing out.
