Quick guide from the manual
To ensure proper operation, always install batteries in the Main Unit first, then in the wireless sensor. The system supports up to three sensors, with the included sensor pre-set to channel #1. Ensure the sensor is placed outdoors, away from direct sunlight and precipitation, and within 100 feet (33m) of the main unit.
Installation and Setup
Main Unit: Remove the battery compartment cover on the back. Insert 2 AA alkaline or lithium batteries, observing correct polarity. Place in a dry location away from dust, mold, and smoke.
Wireless Sensor: Open the case along the seam to access the battery compartment. Insert 2 AAA alkaline or lithium batteries. If using multiple sensors, use the interior slide switch to select a different channel (2 or 3) and press the TX button to send a signal to the main unit.
Using the Main Unit Features
Temperature Scale: Press the + / C/F button to toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius.
Min/Max Memory: Press the MIN/MAX button to view maximum temperatures. Press again to view minimum temperatures. Press the CLEAR button while the value is displayed to reset it.
Temperature Alerts: To set alerts, press the ALERT button. Use the + or - buttons to select the channel, then set the upper and lower temperature limits, confirming each step with the ALERT button. The unit will emit three short beeps when an alert is reached.
Multiple Wireless Sensors
The main unit supports up to three sensors. Each additional sensor must be set to a different channel (2 or 3) using the internal slide switch. Press the TX button after changing the channel. Pressing the - / button on the main unit activates the auto-scroll feature, which cycles through the temperatures of all connected sensors.
Troubleshooting
Display shows "---": Move the sensor away from interference (electrical devices, metal surfaces), check if batteries need replacing, or move the sensor closer to the main unit (within 100 feet).
Inaccurate temperature: Ensure the sensor is placed outdoors and not in direct sunlight or weather elements. Reset both units by removing and re-installing all batteries.
