The AL-KO 2000i is a portable inverter generator designed for private use. Before starting, ensure the unit is on a level surface, filled with the correct engine oil (SAE 10W-30) and unleaded petrol. Do not connect any appliances when starting the generator.

Product Overview
The generator features a handle, fuel tank cap with breather valve, pull-cord starter, and an operating panel containing the AC output, DC output, and various indicator lights (oil warning, overload, AC output).
Start-up
Equipotential bonding: If connecting multiple electrical appliances, the generator must be connected to an equipotential bonding bar using an insulated copper wire (min. 2.5 mm² for protected routing, 4 mm² for unprotected).
Filling fluids: Ensure the engine is cool before filling. Use unleaded petrol and SAE 10W-30 engine oil. Do not overfill.
Operation

- Starting: Set the choke (cold start) or ON (warm start), set ESC switch to OFF, turn fuel breather valve to ON, and pull the starter cord briskly. After 30 seconds, turn the knob to ON.
- ESC Function: Engine Smart Control regulates engine speed based on load. Turn ESC to OFF when connecting appliances with high starting currents (e.g., compressors).
- Indicators: Red oil light indicates low oil; red overload light indicates overload or overheating.
- Switching off: Run for 30 seconds without load, then turn ESC to OFF, unplug appliances, turn knob to OFF, and close fuel breather valve.
Maintenance
- Intervals: Check oil and air filter before every use. Change oil after 20 hours or 1 month, then every 100 hours or 6 months.
- Oil Change: Run engine for 5 minutes, drain oil, refill with new oil to max level.
- Spark Plug: Clean every 100 hours, replace every 300 hours.
Troubleshooting
If the engine does not start, check fuel level, choke setting, oil level, and spark plug. If power is not generated, restart the engine or check the DC safety switch.
