This microscope is designed for children over the age of 8. It requires adult supervision at all times, especially when handling sharp tools like scalpels. The device requires 2 x 1.5V AA batteries (not included) to operate the illuminator lamp.
Components of the microscope

- Eyepiece: The lens you look through.
- Body Tube: Holds the eyepiece and objective lens.
- Revolving Turret: Rotates to change magnification settings (100x, 300x, 600x, 900x).
- Objective Lens: The lens closest to the specimen.
- Clip: Holds the slide in place on the stage.
- Stage: The platform where the slide is placed.
- Reflection Mirror: Reflects light onto the specimen.
- Illuminator Lamp: Provides light for viewing.

Battery installation

- Locate the battery compartment on the base of the microscope.
- Insert 2 x 1.5V AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+ and -).
- If the microscope becomes unresponsive, replace the batteries immediately.
How to observe the specimen

- Adjust the body and reflection mirror so that light is caught by the mirror.
- Place the prepared slide on the stage and fasten it securely with the clips.
- Select the desired magnification strength using the revolving turret until you hear a click.
- Turn the focusing knob to adjust the lens to the closest distance to the slide.
- Look through the eyepiece and adjust the focusing knob until the image is in focus.
How to prepare a simple specimen
Onion: Use tweezers to peel off a thin layer of membrane. Place it on a blank slide, add a drop of water, and cover with a cover slip.
Flower Petal: Cut a small piece and place it on a blank slide. Add a drop of water and cover with a cover slip.
Sand: Use a spoon to take sand grains, place them on a blank slide, add a drop of water, and cover with a cover slip.
Safety warnings
- Choking Hazard: Contains small parts; not for children under 3 years.
- Sharp Edges: The set includes functional sharp scalpels. Handle with care.
- Eye Safety: Do not look through the magnifier directly at the sun.
- Battery Safety: Do not mix different types of batteries or new and used batteries. Remove batteries if the toy is not in use for an extended time.
