The Avantco 177BCG3 is a commercial-grade bulk coffee grinder. Before first use, it is critical to perform the 'First Time Operation' procedure to ensure the unit is functioning correctly. The grinder is designed for indoor, commercial use only and requires professional installation and maintenance.
General Description
The unit features a main power switch, a grinding dial for coarseness adjustment, a bean hopper with a lid, a coffee grounds outlet chute, and a residue tray. An overload protector is located on the back of the unit.

Installation

- Placement: Place the grinder on a stable, flat surface in a dry area away from water.
- Assembly: Install the hopper lid handle using the provided screws and attach the residue tray.
- Electrical: Ensure the power supply matches the grinder's specifications (110V/60Hz). Do not use extension cords or plug adapters. The unit must be electronically grounded.
Operation
First Time Operation:
- Connect to power with the main switch in the OFF position.
- Set the grind dial to the coarsest position (#9).
- Do not add coffee beans.
- Switch to RUN.
- Gradually change the grind setting from #9 to #1 and back to #9 while the unit is running.
- Listen for abnormal noises; if detected, contact a technician.
Grinding Coffee:
- Fill the hopper with beans and place a container under the chute.
- Set the desired coarseness using the dial.
- Switch to RUN to start grinding.
- Switch to OFF to stop. Use the chute clipper to clear leftover grounds.
- Note: To prevent overheating, grind in short intervals of no longer than 15 minutes per 35-minute period.
