The Behringer SF300 Super Fuzz pedal is designed to recreate classic fuzz tones from the 60s and 70s. Note that the unit has no dedicated on/off switch; it activates automatically as soon as an instrument cable is inserted into the IN connector. To preserve battery life, always remove the cable when the pedal is not in use.
Controls and Operation
The pedal features several controls to shape your sound:
- LEVEL: Adjusts the overall output volume.
- TREBLE: Boosts or cuts the high-frequency range.
- BASS: Boosts or cuts the low-frequency range.
- GAIN: Adjusts the amount of distortion.
- MODE Switch: Selects between three distinct effect modes:
- FUZZ 1: Provides a basic fuzz sound with an emphasis on the midrange.
- FUZZ 2: Delivers a full-bodied fuzz sound with scooped mids and sharp harmonics.
- BOOST: The LEVEL control becomes inactive, and the GAIN control adjusts the boost level.
- Footswitch: Activates or deactivates the effect.
- ON/BATT LED: Indicates when the effect is active and serves as a battery level indicator.
Battery Installation
The battery compartment is located underneath the pedal cover. To install or replace the 9V battery (not included):
- Use a ballpoint pen to press the hinges on the pedal cover.
- Remove the pedal cover carefully to avoid scratching the unit.
- Insert or replace the 9V battery.
- Replace the cover.

Pedal does not turn on
The SF300 has no on/off switch. Ensure the instrument cable is fully inserted into the IN connector to activate the unit.
Battery replacement difficulty
