This manual provides essential instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of the Belling Cookcentre Chim and Farmhouse Chim range hoods. Always keep this manual with the appliance for future reference.

Safety Information

For your safety and correct operation, please observe the following:

• The minimum safety distance between the hob and the hood is 650 mm.
• Wire connections must be performed by a specialized technician.
• Ensure the mains voltage corresponds to the rating label inside the hood.
• The hood must be connected to an exhaust flue with a minimum diameter of 120 mm.
• Do not connect the hood to exhaust ducts carrying combustion fumes (e.g., boilers, fireplaces).
• If used with gas appliances, ensure sufficient room ventilation to prevent exhaust backflow.
• Remove protective films before installation.

Controls

The control panel features the following buttons:

• Button 1: Starts the motor at speed one. Pressing again stops the motor.
• Button 2: Starts the motor at speed two.
• Button 3: Starts the motor at speed three.
• Light Button: Turns the lighting system on and off.

Use

The extractor hood is designed exclusively for domestic use to eliminate kitchen odours. Never leave naked flames under the hood when in operation. Adjust the flame intensity so it is directed onto the bottom of the cooking pan. Deep-fryers must be kept under constant supervision.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Regular maintenance is essential for optimal performance:

• Grease Filters: Must be cleaned every 2 months of operation, or more frequently if used intensively. These can be washed in a dishwasher.
• Charcoal Filters: Cannot be washed or regenerated. They must be replaced approximately every 4 months of operation.
• General Cleaning: Clean the hood using a damp cloth and neutral liquid detergent.

Technical Data

The appliance operates on 230-240V ~ 50/60Hz. The motor rating is 140W. Noise levels range from 45 dB (Position 1) to 63 dB (Position 3). Extraction rates are 260 m3/h (Position 1) and 600 m3/h (Position 3).
