The Bosch GBH 18V-18 Professional is a cordless rotary hammer designed for hammer drilling in concrete, brick, and stone. It is also suitable for drilling without impact in wood, metal, ceramic, and plastic, as well as for screwdriving.

Product Description
The tool features an SDS-plus tool holder, vibration damping, and a worklight. It is compatible with GBA 18V and ProCORE18V battery systems.
Assembly

- Auxiliary Handle: Always use the auxiliary handle (15) for safe operation. Rotate the lower gripping end to adjust the handle position.
- Drill Chucks: For hammer drilling, use SDS-plus tools. For drilling without impact or screwdriving, use a keyed chuck (18) with an SDS-plus shank (19).
- Tool Change: The dust protection cap (3) prevents drilling dust from entering the tool holder. Replace it immediately if damaged.
Operation
- Operating Mode: Use the impact/mode selector switch (12) to choose between hammer drilling and drilling without impact. Press the release button (11) to change modes.
- Rotational Direction: Use the rotational direction switch (7) to change the direction. Set to clockwise for drilling and screwdriving.
- On/Off: Press the on/off switch (9) to start. The worklight (13) illuminates the work area.
Practical Advice

- Drilling Depth: Use the depth stop (16) to set the required drilling depth X.
- Overload Torque: If the tool jams, the drive to the drill spindle is interrupted. Hold the tool firmly with both hands.
- KickBack Control: Provides better control and user protection by switching off the tool if it suddenly rotates around the drilling axis. Indicated by a flashing worklight (13).
- Fall Protection: Use a suitable fall protection system (23) if working at heights. Attach only to the designated area (22) and a stable structure.
Maintenance
Keep the tool and ventilation slots clean. Clean the tool holder (2) after each use. Replace damaged dust protection caps immediately.
