Product Overview
The tool features a TE-C Click chuck, a function selector switch, a forward/reverse selector switch with safety lock, and a battery charge status display. The side handle and depth gauge are adjustable for precise drilling.
Operation
- Fitting the side handle: Release the clamping band by turning the grip, slide it over the chuck, position it, and tighten the grip.
- Inserting the battery: Push the battery into the interface until it clicks securely.
- Fitting the accessory tool: Apply a small amount of Hilti grease to the tool end, push it into the chuck until it engages, and pull to check it is secure.
- Drilling modes: Use the function selector switch to choose between 'Drilling without hammering' and 'Hammer drilling'.
Care and Maintenance
Always remove the battery before performing maintenance. Clean the air vents with a dry brush and wipe the casing with a slightly damp cloth. Do not use silicone-based cleaning agents. Regularly clean the dust shield on the chuck and apply a light layer of Hilti grease to the sealing lip.
Troubleshooting
If the tool does not start, check if the battery is fully inserted, charged, or if the tool is overloaded. If there is no hammering action, ensure the tool is not too cold; run it in idle to warm up the mechanism. If the tool gets very hot, stop immediately, remove the battery, and contact Hilti Service.
