Quick guide from the manual
The Bosch GAL 18V6-80 Professional is a multi-bay charger designed for Bosch AMPShare Li-ion batteries. It features an automatic charging sequence for multiple batteries and a priority charging function.

Charging process
The charging process begins automatically when the charger is plugged in and a battery is inserted. If multiple batteries are inserted, they are charged sequentially in an anticlockwise direction as indicated by the arrows on the device.
- First cycle: All inserted batteries are charged to approximately 80% capacity.
- Second cycle: Batteries are charged from 80% to full capacity. This cycle starts once all inserted batteries have reached the 80% threshold.
Charging is only possible if the battery temperature is within the permitted range of 0–45 °C.
Troubleshooting
- All six indicators flash red simultaneously: The charger has detected an internal error. Ensure all batteries are fully inserted, unplug the charger, and plug it back in. If the error persists, contact an authorized Bosch service center.
- No indicators light up: The power socket, mains cable, or charger may be defective. Check the mains voltage.
Safety and Maintenance
Use the charger only in enclosed, dry spaces. Do not operate on easily flammable surfaces (e.g., paper, textiles). Keep ventilation slots clear to prevent overheating. If the power cord requires replacement, it must be performed by Bosch or an authorized service center to maintain safety standards.
