Quick Guide

This document covers two separate products: the Cuisinart DCC-2650P1 Coffeemaker and the DBM-8P1 Burr Mill. Always read the safety instructions before use. For the coffeemaker, ensure the charcoal filter is prepared and the carafe is in place before brewing. For the grinder, ensure the hopper and grind chamber are properly seated, as a safety feature prevents operation if they are not.

Inserting the charcoal water filter
  • Charcoal Filter: Soak the filter in cold tap water for 15 minutes before first use. Insert it into the holder and snap it closed. Flush with cold water for 10 seconds.
  • Programming: Use the Function knob to select CLOCK, PROG (Auto On), or AUTO OFF. Use the Hour and Minute buttons to adjust settings.
  • Brewing: Fill the reservoir with water. Place a #4 paper filter or the permanent gold-tone filter in the basket. Add ground coffee (max 15 scoops). Turn the Function knob to BREW and press the On/Off button.
  • Brew Pause: Allows you to pour a cup mid-brew. Do not remove the carafe for more than 20 seconds to prevent overflow.

Cleaning and Maintenance

  • Daily: Discard used grounds and filter. Wash the carafe and filter basket in warm, soapy water or the top rack of the dishwasher.
  • Decalcification: If the Clean light flashes, fill the reservoir with a 1/3 white vinegar and 2/3 water mixture. Press the Clean button and turn the unit on. Run a cycle, then run a cycle of fresh water.
