Quick guide from the manual
This document provides essential procedures for the Danfoss Aveo Tamperproof thermostatic sensor series. It covers the initial installation, configuring minimum and maximum temperature limits, enabling theft protection, and installing the scale cover. Ensure you have a 2mm Allen key and a screwdriver available for these procedures.
Installation

- Place the sensor onto the valve body.
- Ensure the sensor is aligned correctly.
- Push the sensor onto the valve until you hear a click, indicating it is locked in place.
- Use a 2mm Allen key to tighten the locking screw on the side of the sensor to secure it.
Temperature Limitation (Maximum)
- Identify the current maximum setting.
- Locate the internal locking mechanism.
- Use a screwdriver to adjust the limit pin.
- Move the pin to the desired maximum position.
- Ensure the pin is securely set.
- Verify the new maximum limit (e.g., MAX = 4).
Temperature Limitation (Minimum)
- Identify the current minimum setting.
- Locate the internal locking mechanism.
- Use a screwdriver to adjust the limit pin.
- Move the pin to the desired minimum position.
- Ensure the pin is securely set.
- Verify the new minimum limit (e.g., MIN = 2).
Theft Protection
- Align the sensor on the valve.
- Insert the theft protection pins into the designated slots.
- Rotate the locking mechanism to secure the pins.
- Use a screwdriver to finalize the locking process, preventing unauthorized removal.
Scale Cover
- Align the scale cover with the sensor housing.
- Press the cover firmly onto the sensor.
- Ensure the cover snaps into place securely.

Common problems
Follow the Theft protection procedure using the provided locking pins to mechanically lock the sensor to the valve.
Use the Temperature Limitation procedure to set a fixed minimum or maximum temperature range.
Before use
- 2mm Allen key for mounting and securing.
- Screwdriver for adjusting internal limit pins.
- Verify the valve body is compatible with the Aveo sensor.
Specs in practice
- Temperature Limitation
- Allows the user to restrict the sensor's range to prevent overheating or freezing.
- Theft Protection
- A mechanical feature that prevents the sensor from being unscrewed from the valve.
Images and diagrams
- Installation steps show the click-on mechanism and the use of the 2mm Allen key.
- Temperature limitation diagrams illustrate the use of a screwdriver to move pins within the sensor head.
