This document provides critical safety information for the DigiTech Drop effect pedal. Users must adhere to these guidelines to prevent electrical hazards, equipment damage, or personal injury. Key requirements include proper grounding, indoor-only use, and avoiding exposure to moisture or heat sources.

Safety and operation

• Indoor use only: Do not expose the device to rain, moisture, or splashing liquids.
• Ventilation: Do not block ventilation openings.
• Heat sources: Keep away from radiators, stoves, or other heat-producing equipment.
• Power supply: The power switch does not fully disconnect the unit from the mains. Ensure the plug remains accessible for disconnection.
• Altitude: Do not operate the device at altitudes above 2000m.
• Servicing: No user-serviceable parts are inside. Refer all repairs to qualified personnel.

Electrical connections and grounding

If your unit is equipped with a power cord, it must be connected to a mains socket with a protective earth connection. If the plug does not fit your outlet, consult an electrician. Never defeat the safety purpose of a polarized or grounding-type plug.

If you need to wire a plug, follow the standard color code:

• Green and Yellow: Earth (Ground)
• Blue: Neutral
• Brown: Live

If the wire colors in your mains lead do not match your plug terminals, ensure the Green/Yellow wire is connected to the Earth terminal (marked E, with an earth symbol, or colored green/yellow), the Blue wire to the Neutral terminal (N or black), and the Brown wire to the Live terminal (L or red).

Electromagnetic compatibility and disposal

This device complies with FCC Part 15 rules. To maintain compatibility, use only shielded interconnecting cables. When disposing of the product, do not mix it with general household waste; use designated electronic waste collection facilities in accordance with local legislation.
