Quick guide from the manual
The DigiTech Drop is a polyphonic pitch shifter pedal designed to transpose your guitar signal down by semitones or octaves. To ensure optimal performance, the pedal should always be placed first in your effects chain. Use only the included power adapter to avoid damage.
User Interface
The pedal features several controls and indicators:
- Power Connector: Connect the supplied power adapter here. Do not use third-party adapters.
- Effect Selector Knob: Used to select the desired drop tune interval.
- Drop Effect Amount LEDs: Indicate the current setting: 1-7 semitones down, Octave down, or Octave down + Dry signal.
- Momentary On/Off Switch: Determines how the footswitch operates. When set to ON, the effect is active only while the footswitch is held. When set to OFF, the footswitch acts as a standard latching on/off switch.
- Input/Output Jacks: 1/4 inch unbalanced TS jacks for instrument and amplifier/pedalboard connections.
- Effect Footswitch: Toggles the effect on and off.
Connections and Setup
Follow these steps to connect the pedal to your rig:
- Turn down your amplifier's master volume control.
- Connect your instrument to the Input jack.
- Connect the Output jack to your amplifier or the next pedal in your chain.
- Connect the included power supply to the pedal and an AC outlet.
- Strum your guitar and gradually increase the amplifier volume.
Note: Placing any effect in front of the Drop pedal can negatively impact the pitch-shifting performance.

Common problems
Ensure the Drop pedal is the first pedal in your effects chain. Placing other effects before it can interfere with the signal processing.
If set to ON, the effect only engages while the footswitch is held. If set to OFF, it acts as a standard latching switch. Check the switch position if the effect does not stay on.
Use only the supplied power adapter. Do not use other adapters as they may damage the unit or cause improper operation.
