Quick guide from the manual
The Dometic Gale 12V Electric Air Pump is designed for inflating awning tents and other inflatables using a 12V DC vehicle power supply. Important: Do not operate the pump continuously for longer than 15 minutes to prevent motor overheating. If used for 15 minutes, allow the device to cool down for 30 minutes before further use.
Using the electric air pump

- Connect the air hose: Attach the air hose to the inflation port on the pump (see fig. 1, page 3).
- Connect to power: Plug the 12V DC connector into your vehicle's power socket (see fig. 2, page 3).
- Attach to inflatable: Connect the appropriate nozzle adapter to your inflatable (see fig. 3, page 3).
- Set pressure: Use the control panel to set the desired pressure. The LCD display shows the current pressure (see fig. 5, page 3).
- Inflation: Start the pump. The device features an auto-off function that stops inflation once the preset pressure is reached (see fig. 7, page 3).
Safety instructions
- Do not operate the pump if it is visibly damaged.
- Keep children and pets away from the pump during operation.
- Do not direct the air stream at your face or body.
- Ensure the pump is sufficiently ventilated during operation.
- Do not use the pump in wet conditions or submerge it in liquid.
Cleaning and maintenance
- Occasionally clean the product with a damp cloth.
- After each use, store the plug in the opening provided.
- Ensure the supply cord and air hose are not trapped or kinked during storage.
- Do not use sharp or hard objects or cleaning agents for cleaning, as these may damage the product.
Troubleshooting
If the pump does not work and the LCD display does not illuminate, check that the DC plug is fully inserted into the socket and test the socket with another 12V device. If the LCD illuminates but the pump does not work, ensure the power source is rated for at least 10A. If the pressure increases quickly, check the nozzle adapter and inflation port for obstructions or kinks in the air hose.
