This heater is designed for industrial use and requires strict adherence to safety protocols. Before use, ensure the area is well-ventilated (minimum 150m³). Always keep flammable materials at least 2.5 meters away from the sides/rear and 3 meters from the front. Never use this device in living, working, or sleeping areas.
Description
The HKG 15-DE is a direct-fired gas space heater. It features a motor-driven fan for air circulation, flame security, overheating protection, and a tipping safety switch that shuts off gas supply if the unit falls.

Safety Warnings
- Ventilation: Use only in well-ventilated spaces. Inadequate ventilation can lead to fatal carbon monoxide poisoning.
- Flammable Materials: Keep away from paint, thinners, wood chips, and other flammable substances.
- Gas Handling: Use only propane or butane gas with the manufacturer-supplied regulator and hose.
- Environment: Do not use in dusty areas, basements, or below-ground levels. Never use in rain or snow.
Installation and Gas Connection
Ensure the heater is placed on a level, stable, and non-flammable surface. The gas hose is pre-mounted to the regulator at the factory; only replace if damaged.

- Connect the pressure regulator to the gas bottle, tightening the nut firmly by hand (counter-clockwise).
- Attach the gas supply hose to the heater (left-hand thread).
- Perform a gas leakage test before ignition.
Operation
- Open the gas tap on the bottle.
- Turn the regulator button to the maximum position.
- Plug the heater into a grounded 220-240V socket and set the power switch to I (on). The fan will start.
- Wait for the fan to run steadily. Press and hold the gas valve button for 10 seconds, then press the ignition button repeatedly until the device ignites.
- Continue holding the gas valve button for another 15 seconds after ignition, then release.
- Adjust the regulator button to the desired flame height.
Gas Leakage Test
A leakage test must be performed during installation, after changing a gas bottle, and after storage. Never use an open flame to check for leaks.

- Prepare a soap solution (1 part liquid soap, 1 part water).
- Apply the solution to all gas connections.
- Open the gas supply. If bubbles form, there is a leak.
- If a leak is detected, close the gas supply immediately, tighten the connection, and re-test.
Cleaning and Maintenance
- Always switch off, unplug, and let the heater cool before cleaning.
- Keep the unit, especially the grills and fan blades, free of dust.
- Regularly inspect the gas hose for cracks, burns, or wear. Replace at least every 3-4 years.
- The heater must be inspected annually by a qualified person.

Practical help
Common problems
Ensure the fan is running, hold the gas valve button for 10 seconds, and press the ignition button repeatedly.
Immediately shut off the gas supply, extinguish all flames, ventilate the area, and do not operate electrical switches.
Check gas supply level, ensure proper ventilation, and verify the unit is not overheating.
Before use
- Ensure the room is well-ventilated (minimum 150m³).
- Verify the heater is on a stable, level, non-flammable surface.
- Check that the gas bottle is full and undamaged.
- Inspect the gas hose for cracks or signs of wear.
- Ensure no flammable materials are within 2.5m (sides/rear) or 3m (front).
Specs in practice
- Gas Pressure
- 700 mBar, required operating pressure for the regulator.
