This document provides installation and operation instructions for the Feit Electric 21-Inch 3-Light LED Vanity Fixture. The fixture is designed for indoor use only and is suitable for damp locations. It features a motion-activated night light powered by an internal battery that charges during normal operation.

Pre-Assembly

Before beginning installation, ensure you have the following tools and verify all parts are present:

• Tools Required: Phillips screwdriver.
• Parts Included: Fixture body, mounting plate, junction box mounting screws, fixture mounting screws, wire connectors, glass shades, and retaining rings.

Installation

1. Turn Off Power: Always turn off the power at the switch and fuse or circuit breaker box before starting.
2. Remove Mounting Plate: Loosen the mounting plate screws to detach the plate from the fixture.
3. Install Mounting Plate: Attach the mounting plate to the junction box using the provided screws. Ensure the arrow on the mounting plate points up.
4. Connect Wires: Use wire connectors to join the green/bare copper ground wire to the house ground. Connect the white fixture wire to the neutral supply wire and the black fixture wire to the power supply wire.
5. Install Fixture: Align the top tabs of the fixture with the mounting plate and secure it using the fixture mounting screws at the bottom.
6. Install Glass Shades: Remove retaining rings, place glass shades into the holders, and secure them by screwing the retaining rings clockwise. Do not overtighten.
7. Install Bulbs: Screw in LED light bulbs (not included) into the sockets.
8. Turn On Power: Restore power at the circuit breaker.

Operating the Fixture

The fixture operates normally via the wall switch. The motion night light is disabled by default. To enable it, locate the switch at the bottom of the fixture and toggle it to the ON position. When the wall switch is off, the motion night light will activate for 60 seconds upon detecting movement in a dark room.

Charging the Battery

The internal battery for the night light charges automatically when the wall switch is in the ON position. It takes approximately 3 hours to fully charge, providing at least 4 hours of runtime.

Safety Information

• Always ground the fixture to avoid electric shock.
• Wear rubber-soled shoes and work on a sturdy ladder.
• Handle metal parts carefully as they may have sharp edges; wearing gloves is recommended.
• Use only LED light bulbs rated for up to 42W.
