Installation

The installation process involves assembling the frame and mounting it to the vehicle's rear door. Key steps include:

• Assemble the main frame structure using the provided hardware.
• Attach the upper and lower mounting brackets to the vehicle.
• Ensure the bar is mounted with the brackets in the correct position.
• Tighten all connections securely, but pay close attention to the specific warning regarding the fork-to-tube connection.
• Snap the tube into the brackets to hook the carrier onto the vehicle.
• Perform final adjustments to ensure the carrier is stable and does not interfere with vehicle operation.

Usage and safety

Proper usage is critical for safety:

• Weight Distribution: Load bikes uniformly, placing the heaviest bikes closest to the vehicle wall.
• E-bikes: It is advisable to remove batteries from E-bikes before loading them onto the carrier.
• Bike Covers: The use of bike covers (Bike Cover) is not permitted with this model.
• Rear Visibility: If the carrier or bikes obstruct rear lights, use a light repeater bar. If rear visibility is limited, use additional rear-view mirrors.
• Vehicle Operation: You can open the tailgate with the carrier mounted, provided no bikes are loaded. Always check the rear windscreen wiper radius before operating it.
• Handlebars: Rotate bike handlebars to prevent damage to the vehicle wall.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance is required to ensure the longevity and safety of the carrier:

• Periodically check that the bicycle rack is firmly attached, especially after the first few kilometers and before/after long trips.
• Inspect belts and rubber parts regularly; replace them immediately if they show signs of wear, porosity, or damage.
