The Flamma FS21 is a combined looper and drum machine pedal. This document provides instructions for setup, operation of both modules, and management of recorded files via the dedicated editor software.
Device layout
The pedal features two main footswitches for control, two rotary knobs for Looper and Rhythm settings, a display screen, and a Merger Control button. Input and output jacks are located on the sides, with USB and DC power ports on the top panel.
First setup


- Connect a 9V 300mA power supply to the DC IN jack.
- Connect your instrument to the LEFT INPUT jack.
- Connect the output of the FS21 to your amplifier or stompbox.
Looper operation
Switch between Looper and Rhythm modules by pressing both footswitches simultaneously. The Looper LED (blue) indicates the active mode.
- Memory: Select a slot to save your loop file.
- Level: Adjust playback volume (-∞ to +6dB).
- Fade Out: Set fade-out time (1-5 seconds).
- Recording: Press the left footswitch to start recording.
- Playback/Dub: Press the right footswitch to stop recording and start playback. Press the left footswitch during playback to enter Dub mode.
- Undo/Redo: Press and hold the right footswitch for 2 seconds during playback to undo or redo the last track.
- Clear: In stop mode, press and hold the right footswitch for 2 seconds to clear all tracks in the current slot.
Rhythm operation
The Rhythm LED (red) indicates the active mode.
- Select: Rotate the RHYTHM knob to choose from 100 drum grooves across 10 styles.
- Tap Tempo: Press the left footswitch two or more times at the desired tempo to set the BPM.
- On/Off: Press the right footswitch to toggle the rhythm on or off.
Editor software
Connect the FS21 to a computer via USB to use the editor software for importing/exporting files and performing a factory reset. Note that when connected to a computer, the pedal's physical buttons and footswitches will not respond.
Safety and maintenance
- Use only a 9V 300mA power supply.
- Do not use the device near water or heat sources.
- Clean the unit only with a dry cloth.
Practical help
Common problems
Turn down the playback volume level.
Turn down the input level or the output level of your instrument.
Ensure time signatures are consistent (e.g., do not switch from 4/4 to 3/4 while a file is recorded).
Before use
- Ensure you have a 9V 300mA power supply.
- Connect your instrument to the LEFT INPUT jack.
- Connect the output to an amplifier or stompbox.
- Verify the device is not near water or heat sources.
