The Gardena PBA 18V system battery is designed as a power supply for POWER FOR ALL system devices. It is intended for private domestic and hobby garden use. The battery is supplied partially charged and must be fully charged before the first use.

Safety warnings

• General safety: Read all safety warnings. Failure to follow them may result in electric shock, fire, or serious injury.
• Handling: Do not open the battery. Keep out of reach of children. Protect from heat, sunlight, fire, dirt, water, and moisture.
• Damage: If the battery is damaged or used improperly, vapours may escape; ensure the area is well-ventilated. If flammable liquid leaks, avoid contact and seek medical attention if necessary.
• Short-circuiting: Do not short-circuit the battery. Keep away from paper clips, coins, keys, nails, or screws when not in use.
• Temperature: Operate and store between -20°C and +50°C. Charge only between 0°C and +35°C.

Charging the battery

Refer to the operator's manual of your specific POWER FOR ALL system product or battery charger. Always use chargers recommended by the manufacturer or POWER FOR ALL system partners.

Battery status indicator

The battery features an LED display to show the state of charge. Press the display button to check the level:

• 4 LEDs: 75 – 100%
• 3 LEDs: 50 – 75%
• 2 LEDs: 25 – 50%
• 1 LED: 5 – 25%
• 1 LED flashing: 0 – 5%

Maintenance and cleaning

Clean the ventilation slots (if present) and battery connections periodically using a soft, clean, and dry brush.

Storage and decommissioning

Before storing, charge the battery and clean it. Store in a dry, closed, and frost-proof location, out of reach of children.

Disposal

The battery contains lithium-ion cells and must not be disposed of with normal household waste. Discharge the cells fully, tape the contacts to prevent short-circuiting, and dispose of at a local recycling collection point.
