Table of contents

Quick guide from the manual

This document provides instructions for the assembly and installation of the Glacier Bay utility sink kit. Before beginning, ensure all parts listed in the package contents are present and undamaged. Installation should be performed by qualified personnel in accordance with local plumbing codes. Always wear safety goggles and gloves during installation to prevent injury.

Installation

Installing the steel legs

Insert the four steel legs into the corner sockets of the sink. Use a small wooden block and a hammer to gently tap each leg into the tapered socket until secure. Do not overstrike or wiggle the legs, as this may loosen the sockets.

Installing the levelers

Attach the adjustable levelers to the legs using the provided bolts and nuts. Hand-tighten them, then turn the sink to its upright position. Adjustments may be required later to ensure proper drainage.

Installing the faucet

Shut off the water supply. Apply a thin bead of silicone sealant to the underside of the putty plate and set the faucet into the sink holes. Secure it from underneath using the large washers and mounting nuts.

Installing the faucet hand sprayer

Insert the small washer into the hose nut and tighten the hand sprayer onto the spray hose. Push the quick connector into the receiving block under the sink until it clicks. Attach the weight to the hose at the marked position.

Installing the drainage kit

Assemble the drainage components, including the tail-piece, wall tube, and J-bend. If the tail-piece is too long, mark it with a pencil and trim it with a hacksaw before final assembly. Tighten all slip nuts by hand; use a pipe wrench only if leaks occur.

Connecting the supply lines

Connect the new supply lines to the faucet shanks. Attach the other ends to the hot and cold water shut-off valves. Before final use, remove the hand sprayer and run the faucet for one minute to flush debris from the pipes.

Care and Cleaning

Regular cleaning prevents staining. For the sink, use soap or non-abrasive cleaners; use isopropyl alcohol for stubborn stains like grease or ink. For the faucet, wipe with a damp, non-abrasive sponge and dry with a soft cloth. Avoid using steel wool, razor blades, or abrasive detergents on either the sink or the faucet.
