This electric winch is designed for pulling loads up to 1500 lbs. Before using the winch, ensure the supporting structure is rated for the load, the power cord is properly grounded, and the wire rope is in good condition. Always wear ANSI-approved safety gear, including goggles, a hard hat, and steel-toed boots. Do not use this winch for vertical lifting or to lift people.

Safety Information
To prevent serious injury or death:
- Use indoors only.
- Do not pull more than the rated load (1500 lb).
- Inspect the wire rope for kinks, twists, or damage before every use.
- Do not operate a damaged or malfunctioning winch.
- Do not use for vertical lifting or to lift people/loads over people.
- Ensure the rope is centered in its groove.
- People with pacemakers should consult a physician before use due to electromagnetic fields.
- Use only 3-wire extension cords with 3-prong grounding plugs.
Installation
The winch must be mounted to a structure capable of withstanding the forces imposed by the rated load. Secure the Mounting Frame to the Mounting Channel using SAE Grade 5 or higher hardware, torqued to 12 ft. lb. Ensure the Fairlead is also secured to the Mounting Channel. The winch should be installed in a location that allows the operator to remain clear of the load.

Operation
To operate the winch:

- Connect the power cord to a properly grounded 120V outlet.
- Disengage the clutch by pulling out and turning the Clutch Knob to the OUT position.
- Use the Hook Strap to pull the hook to the desired length and attach the load securely.
- Re-engage the clutch by turning the knob to the IN position.
- Use the pendant controls to extend or retract the hook.
- If the winch stops suddenly, wait for it to cool completely, then press the Reset Button.
Inspection and Maintenance
Perform a frequent inspection before initial use and at least monthly. Check operating mechanisms, the braking system, the hook for distortion or wear, and the wire rope for damage (kinking, corrosion, broken strands). A periodic (thorough) inspection should be performed at least yearly by a qualified technician. Moving parts are lubricated at the factory; lubricate the wire rope periodically with light penetrating oil.
Testing
Before use, test repaired winches or those that have been idle for a year or more. Test all functions without a load first, then attach a 100 lb load to verify proper load control and brake operation. Test the trip-setting of limit devices under no-load conditions.

Ensure the power cord is plugged into a properly grounded 120V outlet and the clutch is fully engaged in the IN position.
Before use
- Inspect wire rope for kinks, twists, or damage.
- Verify the mounting structure can withstand the rated load.
- Ensure the clutch is engaged (IN position).
- Check that the load is within the 1500 lb capacity.
- Wear ANSI-approved safety goggles, hard hat, and steel-toed boots.
- Ensure the work area is clean and well-lit.
