This charger is designed for HiKOKI BSL14, BSL18, and MV series batteries. Always charge in a well-ventilated area between 0°C and 40°C. The most suitable temperature for charging is 20–25°C.
Charging procedure
- Connect the power cord to the charger AC inlet.
- Connect the power cord to the receptacle.
- Insert the battery firmly into the charger as shown in the diagram.
- The charging indicator will blink green during charging and light up continuously when complete.
- After charging, disconnect the power cord and remove the battery.
Indicator lights
Battery charging indicator:
- Blinking green: Charging
- Lit up green: Charging complete
Warning indicator:
- Blinking red: Charging impossible (malfunction in battery or charger)
- Lit up red: Overheat standby (battery overheated, charging will commence when it cools)
Maintenance and inspection
- Regularly inspect mounting screws and tighten if loose.
- Clean the charger with a soft, dry cloth or a cloth moistened with soapy water. Do not use chloric solvents, gasoline, or paint thinner as they melt plastics.
- Store in a dry, high, or locked place out of reach of children.
Safety precautions
- Do not expose the charger to rain or damp locations.
- Do not use the charger in the presence of flammable liquids or gases.
- Do not insert objects into the air ventilation slots.
- Do not disassemble the charger or battery.
- Always use the charger at the voltage specified on the nameplate.

Common problems
Warning indicator blinks red
Check for foreign objects in the battery connector. If none are found, the battery or charger may be faulty; take it to an authorized service center.
Warning indicator lights up red (overheat standby)
The battery is overheated. Let the battery cool down before starting the charging process.

- Ensure the work area is clean and well-lit.
- Check that the power source voltage matches the charger nameplate.
- Ensure terminals are free of dust, moisture, or metal particles.
- Charge at an ambient temperature of 0–40°C.
- Ensure the battery is not damaged.
