Product Overview

Intended Use

This tool is designed for one-handed operation. Use only Hilti B 12 series Li-Ion batteries and Hilti C4/12 series chargers.

Preparation and Setup

• Charging: Charge the battery fully before the first use. Ensure contacts are clean and dry.
• Blade Installation: Use only saw blades with a 1/2" connection end. Engage the transport lock, turn the chuck locking sleeve counterclockwise, push the blade into the chuck, and release the sleeve. Pull the blade to ensure it is locked.
• Belt Hook: The optional belt hook can be mounted on either side of the tool base using the provided screws.

Operation

• Sawing: Disengage the transport lock, press the control switch to start, and release it to stop. Always wait for the tool to stop completely before lifting it from the workpiece or laying it down.
• Battery Removal: Press and hold the release button, then pull the battery forward out of the tool.

Care and Maintenance

• Tool Care: Remove stubborn dirt, clean air vents with a dry brush, and wipe the casing with a slightly damp cloth. Do not use silicone-based cleaning agents.
• Battery Care: Keep the battery clean and free of oil and grease. Avoid moisture ingress.
• Maintenance: Regularly check all visible parts and controls for damage and proper function. Do not operate if parts are damaged.

Troubleshooting

If the tool does not start, check if the battery is fully inserted, charged, or if the transport lock is engaged. If the blade cannot be removed, ensure the locking sleeve is turned as far as it will go.
