The Hinkley 1550BZ Revolve path light is designed for use exclusively with Hinkley-approved 12-volt landscape lighting systems. Connecting this fixture to other systems may result in premature failure or unintended operation. Before beginning installation, ensure you have a clear work area and have disconnected the transformer from the electrical supply.

Safety Instructions

To prevent fire or injury, observe the following safety precautions:

• Hot Surface: The lamp gets hot quickly. Only touch the switch or plug when turning the unit on. Do not touch the lens, guard, or enclosure while in operation.
• Flammable Materials: Keep the lamp away from materials that may burn.
• Shielding: Do not operate the luminaire if the shield is missing or damaged.
• Water Proximity: Do not install the luminaire within 10 feet (3 meters) of a pool, spa, or fountain.

Installation Steps

1. Preparation: Find a clear area to work. Disconnect the transformer from the electrical supply.
2. Wiring: Run the wire from the luminaire through the mounting hole located at the top of the ground stake.
3. Mounting: Attach the luminaire to the ground stake by threading it into the mounting hole until it fits snugly against the bottom of the stem.
4. Placement: Place the stake in the desired position and insert it into the ground until the flange of the stake is flush with the ground surface.
5. Connection: Strip the two wire leads from the luminaire and connect them to the main supply wire using the provided silicone-filled wirenuts.

Wiring and Burial

The main secondary wire is intended for shallow burial, less than 6 inches (15.2 cm). Ensure the wire is protected by routing it in close proximity to the luminaire or along a building structure such as a house or deck. The wire should be cut to length so that it connects to a connector within 6 inches (15.2 cm) of a building structure, luminaire, or fitting.
