This document provides instructions for installing the Hinkley Taper Step 12v lighting fixture. Ensure you have the correct voltage supply and necessary mounting hardware before beginning.
Mounting instructions
Follow these steps to mount the fixture:
- Use the provided mounting template to mark and drill holes in the mounting surface.
- Use a 3/32" diameter drill to create pilot holes at the indicated points.
- Secure the fixture using the provided #6 Phillips head wood screws. Ensure the screw head is 3/16" from the mounting surface.
Wiring instructions
The fixture requires an input voltage of 9-15 Volts AC.
- Connect the fixture wires to the supply wires using the provided wire nuts.
- Apply silicone glue to the inside of the wire nut before twisting onto wires to ensure a secure connection.
- Ensure the main low voltage cable is not buried for more than 6 inches (15.2 cm) to connect to the low voltage cable.
- Ensure the length of the cut is such that it is connected to a connector within 6 inches (15.2 cm) from a building structure, luminaire, or fitting.
Concrete installation
For installation on concrete surfaces, you must use the CK1565GY kit, which is sold separately.
