Important Information

Before beginning installation, ensure the flooring is acclimated to the room environment for 48 hours. The sub-floor must be flat, dry, and clean. Moisture testing is mandatory to ensure the sub-floor meets requirements. Always maintain an expansion gap of 10-15mm (3/8-5/8 inch) around the entire perimeter of the room to allow for natural expansion.

Preparation and Acclimation

Acclimation is critical for the stability of the flooring. Store the unopened boxes in the room where the flooring will be installed for at least 48 hours. Ensure the room temperature and humidity are consistent with normal living conditions. The sub-floor must be level; any unevenness exceeding 3/16 inch over a 10-foot span must be corrected.

Installation Steps

Installing the First Row: Begin by placing the first plank with the tongue side facing the wall. Use spacers to maintain the required expansion gap. Connect subsequent planks in the first row by inserting the tongue into the groove of the previous plank.

Installing Subsequent Rows: Start the second row with a cut plank (ensure the cut piece is at least 8 inches long). Insert the tongue of the new plank into the groove of the previous row at an angle, then press down to lock it into place. Ensure all joints are tight and fully engaged.

Completing the Installation: For the last row, measure and cut the planks to fit, maintaining the expansion gap. Install transition moldings where the flooring meets other floor types or doorways. Do not attach moldings directly to the flooring; they must be attached to the sub-floor or wall.

Care and Maintenance

• Use a vacuum or soft broom for regular cleaning.
• Do not use wet mops or steam cleaners, as excess moisture can damage the flooring.
• Use felt pads under furniture legs to prevent scratches.
• Wipe up spills immediately.
• Maintain indoor humidity levels between 35% and 55% to prevent gapping or buckling.
