Quick Start Guide

Before operating your Husqvarna dethatcher, ensure you have read the operator's manual and understand all safety instructions. The product is designed for private gardens to remove thatch and moss and to loosen the soil.

Starting the S 138i (Battery Model)

1. Push the ON/OFF button.
2. Loosen the start inhibitor.
3. Push the motor brake handle down.

Starting the S 138C (Corded Model)

1. Loosen the start inhibitor.
2. Push the motor brake handle down.

Product Description

The product is a pedestrian-controlled electrical dethatcher. It features two types of dethatcher equipment:

• Spring tines: Carefully remove dead grass and thatch without damaging grass roots.
• Delta blades: Remove thatch and cut grass roots vertically. Recommended for slopes, terraces, and soils with high clay content to improve water drainage.

Safety Information

Warning: Incorrect use can result in injury or death. Keep persons and animals at a safe distance from the work area.

• Electrical Safety (S 138C): Do not operate the product across the power cord to avoid electrical shock or damage. Disconnect from the electrical outlet before performing maintenance.
• General Safety: Keep hands and feet away from the rotating blade. Look out for thrown objects and ricochets.
• Maintenance Safety (S 138i): Always remove the safety key before performing maintenance on the product.

Operation and Maintenance

The product includes an adjustment knob for the work depth to suit your lawn conditions. The grass is collected in a grass catcher or released onto the lawn depending on your setup.

To replace the dethatcher equipment, refer to the specific maintenance section in the full manual. Ensure the product is disconnected from power (S 138C) or the safety key is removed (S 138i) before attempting any maintenance or equipment changes.
