The Husqvarna PE 10H is a personal protective equipment (PPE) system combining a helmet, hearing protection, and a visor. The PE 10H SmartGuard variant also includes a chin guard for use with power cutters. This manual provides essential instructions for assembly, operation, and maintenance to ensure the equipment functions as intended.
Product description
The system is designed to absorb impact from falling objects. The hearing protection reduces noise, the visor protects the eyes, and the chin guard provides protection to the lower face area to reduce the risk of lacerations during kickback events. Note: No PPE can offer full protection against injury.
Safety
Operators must read and understand all instructions. The helmet has a color indicator for service life; replace the helmet when the indicator loses its color. Do not use the product longer than 5 years from the production date. Always use original Husqvarna spare parts.
Assembly
Before assembly, move hair to the side to ensure sealing rings are tight against the head. Adjust the neck strap using the knob for a tight fit. The suspension can be adjusted to two different heights. Earmuffs, visor frame, and chin guard can be attached and removed using the provided clips and connection points.

Operation
Before use, perform a daily check. Earmuffs and the visor have specific positions: operation, standby, and parking. Ensure the chin guard is properly attached and provides protection to the mouth and chin area. Always adjust the chin strap for a tight fit.

Maintenance
Clean the product regularly with water and mild soap. Do not use solvents or alcohol-based cleaners. Replace worn or damaged sealing rings and foam inserts of the hearing protection every 6 months. Replace the visor if it shows signs of damage or if visibility is poor.

Transportation, storage and disposal
Store the product in a dry, clean place at the correct temperature, away from direct sunlight. During transport, ensure the product is protected from physical and chemical damage. Dispose of the product according to local recycling regulations.
Technical data
The system is approved for use at low temperatures (-30°C). The helmet (H300) and hearing protection (HP200-2) meet relevant European and ANSI standards. Detailed attenuation data is provided in the technical data section of the manual.
