The La Crosse Technology C82929 is a Wi-Fi-enabled projection alarm clock. It functions as a standalone clock but offers enhanced features like internet time, weather forecasts, and custom data streams when connected to the La Crosse View app. Ensure your mobile device is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network before starting the setup process.
Setup
- Insert the power cord into the alarm clock.
- Remove the insulation tab from the CR2032 battery compartment located on the bottom of the clock.
- Download the La Crosse View app from the App Store or Google Play.
- Follow the in-app instructions to connect the clock to your Wi-Fi network.
Button Functions
- ALARM: Press to activate/deactivate; hold to set alarm.
- EXTRA SENSOR: Press to view options; hold to add sensors.
- PROJ INFO: Press to see options; hold to alternate projection.
- + or –: Adjust values; hold both to search for Wi-Fi.
- SET: View Wi-Fi status; hold for basic settings.
- NAP: Start nap countdown; hold to set nap time.
- SNOOZE/LIGHT: Adjust backlight; hold to set Auto Dim time.
- ALARM + NAP: Hold both to perform a factory reset.
Projection Settings
The projection tube on the back allows for 270-degree rotation. Press the projection icon button to adjust intensity (HI-MED-LO-OFF). Press the PROJ INFO button to select what is projected: current time, indoor temperature/humidity, internet outdoor temperature, or extra sensor information.
Alarm and Nap Timer
To set an alarm, hold the ALARM button for 3 seconds. Use the + or - buttons to adjust the hour and minutes, then set the snooze duration (up to 120 minutes). The alarm uses a crescendo sound and lasts for 2 minutes. The Nap Timer is set by holding the NAP button for 3 seconds; it defaults to 30 minutes and can be adjusted in 5-minute increments.
Backlight and Auto Dim
The backlight has 5 levels of brightness (OFF, 1.5%, 20%, 50%, 100%). To set the Auto Dim feature, hold the SNOOZE/LIGHT button for 2 seconds. Use the + or - buttons to turn the dimmer ON, then select the start and stop hours for the low-light period.
Troubleshooting
Press the SET button to view status messages:
- ALL OK CONNECTED: Connected to the app.
- CHECK APP: Check router connection, app notifications, or for updates.
- LOST WIFI: Check power cord, ensure 2.4GHz network, or hold + and - buttons to search for Wi-Fi.
- NO WEATHER SERVICE: Temporary server issue; wait for resolution.
Care and Maintenance
Do not mix old and new batteries. Ensure correct polarity when installing batteries. Clean battery contacts before installation. Remove batteries if the device will not be used for an extended period.

Common problems
Lost Wi-Fi connection
Check power cord connection, ensure your mobile device is on a 2.4GHz network, and hold the + and - buttons together for 3 seconds to search for Wi-Fi.
No Weather Service displayed
This indicates a server-side issue. Please be patient; weather forecast, precipitation, and HI/LO temperatures will not display until the connection is restored.
Check App status message
Verify your router is working, check your connection to the La Crosse View app, review notifications in the app, and check for any available updates.
