Quick guide from the manual

This document provides installation and maintenance instructions for the LeoVince 14324E LV One EVO slip-on exhaust, designed for KTM 690 Enduro R and 690 SMC R motorcycles (including 35kW versions). The exhaust is designed for standard engine settings. Professional installation is recommended.

Safety precautions

  • Ensure the exhaust system has cooled down completely before starting any work to prevent burns or damage to heat-sensitive components (fairings, hoses, etc.).
  • Do not modify the silencer; any tampering voids the manufacturer's responsibility.

Installation steps

  1. Remove the original OE silencer.
  2. Loosen the cylinder head exhaust nuts. Loosen the Torx screw on the connection bracket between the frame and the pipe without removing it.
  3. Check that mating surfaces are clean. Slide the link pipe onto the original header, ensuring the graphite bushing (if supplied) is used to replace the original. Partially tighten the securing strap for adjustment.
  4. Slide the LeoVince silencer onto the link pipe. Check the alignment of the mounting eyes for the springs and the exhaust outlet, then connect the parts using the provided springs.
  5. Fit the clamps to the silencer. Mount spacers, washers, and brackets as shown in the technical drawing, then secure by tightening all nuts and bolts.
  6. Tighten the clamps joining the link pipe to the exhaust headers.
  7. Start the engine, wait a few minutes to reach operating temperature, and check for gas leaks.

Maintenance

Periodically check all brackets and fasteners, as they may be affected by use. Inspect sound-deadening material, seals, and rubber parts, replacing them as needed. Clean the silencer using gasoline, diesel oil, or alcohol; do not use solvents. Discoloration of the silencer is normal due to heat and material properties.

Important notes

During the first kilometers, the exhaust system will settle, and slight gas leakage may occur. After approximately 100 km, re-check and tighten all fasteners.

Common problems

Slight gas leakage after installation

This is normal during the break-in period. Check and tighten all fasteners after the first 100 km.

Discoloration of the silencer

This is a normal result of heat and material properties during use and is not a defect.

Before use

  • Ensure the engine and exhaust system are completely cool.
  • Verify all components from the list are present.
  • Check that mating surfaces are clean and in good condition.
  • Ensure the graphite bushing is correctly positioned if supplied.
