This document provides technical information and installation instructions for the LeoVince LV Pro slip-on exhaust (Art. 14395E/14396E) designed for KTM Duke 125 and 390 motorcycles. The guide covers component identification, mounting procedures, and essential maintenance to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Safety and Precautions
- Ensure the exhaust system has cooled down completely before starting any work to prevent burns or damage to heat-sensitive components like fairings or hoses.
- The installation should ideally be performed by a professional.
- Any modification or tampering with the exhaust system is strictly prohibited and voids all manufacturer responsibility.
Installation Procedure

- Remove the original silencer from the motorcycle.
- Check the mating surfaces for cleanliness and good condition. Slide the new link pipe onto the original header. Do not use the original graphite bushing if a new one is supplied. Tighten the securing strap partially to allow for final adjustments.
- Slide the LeoVince silencer onto the link pipe. Ensure the mounting eyes for the springs and the exhaust outlet are correctly aligned. Connect the parts using the provided springs.
- Install the clamps, spacers, washers, and support brackets as shown in the technical drawing. Secure all nuts and bolts firmly.
- Tighten all clamps to ensure a secure connection between the LeoVince link pipe and the original exhaust system.
- Start the engine, let it run for a few minutes to reach operating temperature, and check for any gas leaks.
Maintenance and Adjustments
During the first few kilometers, the exhaust system will settle, which may cause minor gas leaks. After approximately 100 km, re-check and tighten all fasteners. Periodically inspect all brackets, seals, and sound-deadening materials for wear and replace them as necessary. The silencer can be cleaned using gasoline, diesel oil, or alcohol; do not use any solvents. Discoloration of the silencer is normal due to heat and material properties.

Common problems
The exhaust system needs to settle during the first few kilometers. Re-check and tighten all fasteners after approximately 100 km.
This is normal and results from heat and the nature of the materials used; it is not a defect.
Before use
- Ensure the engine and exhaust system are completely cool.
- Verify all components from the list are present.
- Check that mating surfaces are clean and in good condition.
- Ensure you have the correct tools for tightening nuts and bolts.
Specs in practice
- Graphite bushing
- Do not use the original graphite bushing if a new one is provided in the kit.
- 100 km check
- Mandatory inspection and tightening of all fasteners after the initial break-in period.
Images and diagrams
