This document provides installation instructions for the Mayfair Seaside Bay Path Bollard (SKU# 220418, 229400). Please note the following critical requirements:
- Voltage: This luminaire is rated for 12V AC/DC (Extra Low Voltage) only. Do not plug it directly into 240V mains.
- Components: The Lucci wiring kit and Lucci transformer are required for installation and are sold separately.
- Compatibility: This product is not suitable for use with dimmer switches.
- DIY: This luminaire is classified as DIY and does not require electrical connection or disconnection by a licensed electrician, provided you are working on the 12V side only.
Installation Requirements
Before beginning the installation, ensure you meet the following criteria:
- Wiring Rules: All installation must adhere to local and national wiring rules (e.g., AS/NZS 3000).
- Location: The luminaire is IP65 rated, meaning it is protected against low-pressure water jets. Ensure the location allows for proper water drainage.
- Substrate: The mounting point must support at least twice the weight of the luminaire.
- Protection: Do not use the luminaire if the protective shield is cracked.
- Drainage: Ensure the quick connector and wiring kit are not installed in areas where they will be submerged in water or buried without protection.
Installation Directions

- Ensure the power to the circuit is switched OFF before starting any work.
- Remove all packaging material from the luminaire (A), ensuring no accessories are discarded.
- Select a suitable location with adequate space for the luminaire and wiring.
- Use the quick connector (B) to connect the luminaire to the Lucci wiring kit. Ensure the connector is fully tightened.
- Connect the Lucci wiring kit to the Lucci transformer. Do not exceed the load ratings of the wiring kit (Max 80VA) and transformer.
- Apply a non-corrosive bead of silicon before installation onto the wall or surface to prevent water from running into the cabling.
- Insert the transformer plug into the mains power socket and switch on the luminaire to test.
Safety Tips
- Always ensure the power is OFF and the luminaire has cooled down before maintenance or cleaning.
- The external flexible cable cannot be replaced; if damaged, the entire luminaire must be destroyed.
- The light source is not replaceable. When it reaches the end of its life, the whole luminaire must be replaced.
- Do not attempt to dismantle or open the luminaire.
- Clean only with a soft damp cloth. Do not soak or immerse in water or other liquids.
- Avoid contact with corrosive chemicals, solvents, or abrasive cleaners.
