To begin using your Ring Indoor Cam (2nd Gen), follow these steps:
- Download and open the Ring app on your smartphone.
- Select Set Up a Device within the app.
- Scan the QR code located on your device using the Ring app.
Safety and Location
This device is designed for indoor use only. To ensure proper operation and safety, observe the following:
- Do not expose the device to steam, extreme heat, or extreme cold.
- Avoid installing the device near heat sources such as space heaters, radiators, or heater vents.
- The device may become warm during normal operation. If this occurs, place the device on a heat-resistant surface.
- Use only accessories supplied with the device or specifically marketed for use with it.
Powering the Device
The Ring Indoor Cam does not have an on/off button. To stop power from flowing to the device, simply unplug the power cord from the electrical socket. Ensure the device is plugged into an easily accessible socket-outlet. Do not plug multiple electric devices into the same wall socket to prevent overloading, which can cause overheating and fire hazards.

Installation
The camera can be placed on a flat surface or mounted on a wall or ceiling.



Flat Installation
Simply place the camera on a flat surface. You can adjust the camera angle as needed.
Wall or Ceiling Installation
- Slide the mounting plate down to unhook and remove it from the camera base.
- Install the mounting plate onto the wall or ceiling using the provided hardware.
- Slide the Indoor Cam onto the installed mounting plate.
- Adjust the camera angle to your desired position.
Using the Privacy Cover
The privacy cover allows you to physically block the camera lens and microphone.


- Using: Slide the cover horizontally to cover or reveal the camera lens.
- Removing/Attaching: The cover can be removed or attached by rotating it according to the lock/unlock indicators on the device.

Common problems
The device may get warm during normal use. To reduce the effect of the warming, place your device on a heat-resistant surface.
The device does not have an on/off button. Unplug the power cord from the wall socket to disconnect power.
