The Scosche INVERT 150 is a 150W power inverter designed to convert 12V DC power into 110V AC power. To use the device, ensure your 12V socket is in working condition, then plug the 12V power cord into the socket. The LED will illuminate green to confirm the unit is on.

Included elements

The package includes the 150W Power Inverter and a 12V Power Cord. The inverter features two LED indicators, a USB-C port, a USB-A port, an AC outlet, and a power cord input.

LED indicators and protection modes

The LED indicators provide status updates:

• Green LED: Power On
• Red LED: Power Protection Mode

The unit enters power protection mode under the following conditions:

• Low Input Voltage: Input voltage drops below 10-11VDC.
• High Input Voltage: Input voltage exceeds 15-16VDC.
• Thermal Protection: Internal temperature exceeds 185°F (85°C).
• Overload Protection: Consistent load exceeds 166W or USB output current exceeds 5.6A.

The unit will automatically reset once conditions return to normal.

Troubleshooting

If the red power protection light is on:

1. Unplug the unit from the 12V accessory port and disconnect all cables.
2. Plug the unit back in. If the light goes off, reconnect devices one at a time.
3. Ensure the maximum watt rating of the connected AC device is not greater than 150W.
4. If the light remains on with no devices connected, try the inverter in another vehicle to rule out a vehicle battery or charging system issue.

If there is no power to the unit:

1. Ensure the vehicle is in accessory mode or On.
2. Test the 12V input with another device (like a USB car charger).
3. If the other device works, unscrew the end of the inverter's car socket adapter and check the fuse. If burned or damaged, replace it with a 25A automotive fuse.
4. If the other device does not work, check your vehicle's user manual for instructions on replacing the car's fuse.

For use with 12V power outlets only. Not for use with cigarette lighter sockets.

• Do not insert foreign objects into the AC outlet or ventilation openings.
• Do not place the inverter near flammable materials, fumes, or gases.
• Do not open the inverter; there are no user-serviceable parts inside.
• Do not expose the inverter to moisture.
• Keep the device away from children.
• Do not block ventilation openings or place in small, enclosed spaces like glove boxes.
• Do not use the inverter outdoors.
• Do not mount in zero-clearance compartments.
