Quick guide from the manual
This manual provides essential safety and operational instructions for the Sealey CP108VCSBO Cordless Circular Saw. Key safety requirements include wearing appropriate PPE (eye protection, gloves, ear protection, safety footwear, and a mask), ensuring the safety guard is always in place, and never operating the tool near flammable materials. Always remove the battery before performing maintenance or adjustments.
Product Overview
The CP108VCSBO is a compact, lightweight cordless circular saw designed for portability. It features a soft-grip housing to reduce vibration and includes a wrench for blade changes. Note that this is a body-only tool; it requires a compatible 10.8V 2Ah or 4Ah battery and a mains charger, which are sold separately.

Preparation and Battery
Before use, ensure the battery is charged. Press the trigger to check the battery status: if all LEDs are lit, the battery is charged; if only one LED is lit, it needs charging. To maintain battery efficiency, do not fully discharge the battery and charge it every 4 months even if the tool is not in use.
Operation
Setting Depth of Cut: Loosen the Cut Depth Lock, adjust the saw blade to the required depth using the scale on the metal bracket, and firmly tighten the lock screw.

Setting Bevel Angle: Loosen the Bevel Lock, adjust the saw to the desired angle using the scale on the sole plate, and firmly tighten the lock screw.
Cutting Procedures: Secure the workpiece with a clamp or vice. Depress the Trigger Lock and squeeze the trigger to start. Always keep hands away from the cutting area and the blade. Never reach underneath the workpiece while cutting.
Safety and Guard Functions
Kickback Prevention: Kickback occurs if the blade is pinched or misaligned. To prevent this, maintain a firm grip with both hands, position your body to the side of the blade, and ensure the blade is not engaged in the material when restarting. Support large panels on both sides near the cut line.
Guard Checks: Before each use, verify that the lower guard and main guard move freely and close instantly. If the guard operates sluggishly due to debris or damaged parts, it must be serviced before use.
Maintenance
The tool is permanently lubricated and requires no special internal maintenance. Keep the tool clean by removing dust with a soft-bristled brush. Do not use solvents or compressed air for cleaning. Store the tool in a child-free, dry location.
