The Sealey HVD16C is a 16-inch high-velocity drum fan designed for industrial, commercial, and home use. It offers dual power options: mains electricity or a 20V cordless battery system (batteries and charger sold separately). The unit features a 360-degree tilting stand and continuous variable speed control.

Safety instructions

Electrical Safety:

• Always inspect power supply leads, plugs, and connections for wear or damage before use.
• Sealey recommends using an RCD (Residual Current Device) with all electrical products.
• If used in a business environment, the unit must be maintained in a safe condition and routinely PAT tested.
• Ensure the voltage rating on the appliance matches your power supply.
• If the plug or cable is damaged, have it repaired or replaced by a qualified electrician.
• The product is fitted with a BS1363/A 13 Amp 3-pin plug.

General Safety:

• Use the fan in dry areas only. Do not use in wet areas or locations with high condensation (e.g., showers, pools).
• Disconnect from mains power when not in use or before maintenance.
• Do not insert any objects through the fan guard.
• Do not cover the fan during operation.
• Do not operate the fan near explosive or flammable gases.
• Do not allow children to operate the fan.
• Do not use the fan outdoors.

Operation

The fan features continuous variable speed control. To operate:

1. Ensure the speed control knob is set to OFF.
2. Connect the fan to the mains power supply or insert a compatible 20V battery.
3. Switch the power on.
4. Use the control knob on the power adaptor to adjust the fan speed as required.
5. Adjust the airflow direction by moving the fan side to side or tilting it up or down.
6. After use, turn the speed control to OFF and disconnect from power or remove the battery.

Maintenance

Cleaning:

• Ensure the fan is disconnected from the power supply before cleaning.
• Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the fan.
• Do not use solvents, petroleum, paint thinner, or other chemicals.
• Do not immerse the fan in water or allow water to drip onto the motor housing.

Blade Cleaning:

• Undo the cross-headed screws around the circumference of the grille.
• Remove the grille.
• Clean the blade with a slightly damp cloth.
• Replace the grille and refit the screws.

Service:

• Should the motor, switch, or power lead require service, contact your local Sealey stockist.
