The SENA 10S is a Bluetooth 5 communication system designed for motorcyclists. It features a versatile Jog Dial for easy operation, multi-way intercom for up to 4 connections, and a range of up to 1.6 km (1.0 mi) in open terrain. This guide covers the essential setup, operation, and maintenance of your device.

Installation

The 10S can be mounted using either the clamp unit or the glued surface mounting adapter.

Using the Clamp Unit

1. Loosen the two screws on the back plate of the clamp unit using the included Allen wrench.
2. Insert the back plate between the internal padding and the external shell of the left side of the helmet.
3. Tighten the screws until the unit is fastened firmly.
4. Attach the main unit to the clamp until you hear a click.

Using the Glued Surface Mounting Adapter

1. Clean the area on the left side of the helmet and dry thoroughly.
2. Peel off the adhesive cover and attach the adapter to the helmet.
3. Wait 24 hours for maximum adhesion before attaching the clamp unit with the two screws.

Getting Started

The device is controlled primarily via the Jog Dial and the Phone Button.

• Powering On/Off: Press the Phone Button and the Jog Dial simultaneously.
• Charging: Connect the USB power & data cable to a computer or wall charger. The LED turns red while charging and blue when fully charged (approx. 2.5 hours).
• Volume Adjustment: Rotate the Jog Dial.

Pairing with Bluetooth Devices

Pairing is required for mobile phones, GPS, and other headsets.

• Phone Pairing: Press and hold the Phone Button for 5 seconds until you hear "Phone pairing." Search for "Sena 10S" on your smartphone.
• Intercom Pairing: Press and hold the Jog Dial for 5 seconds on both units until the LEDs flash rapidly. Tap the Jog Dial on one unit to establish the connection.
• Smart Intercom Pairing (SIP): Use the Sena Motorcycles App to scan a QR code for quick pairing with friends.

Intercom Operation

The 10S supports multi-way intercom conversations.

• Starting Intercom: Tap the Jog Dial once for the first friend, twice for the second, and three times for the third.
• Ending Intercom: Press and hold the Jog Dial for 1 second to end any intercom, or use single/double/triple taps to end specific connections.
• Group Intercom: Press the Jog Dial for 3 seconds to begin a group intercom with the most recently paired headsets.

Configuration and Settings

You can configure settings via the Sena Device Manager (PC/Mac) or the Sena Motorcycles App. To enter the configuration menu on the headset, press and hold the Jog Dial for 10 seconds. Use the Jog Dial to navigate and the Phone Button to execute commands like "Delete All Pairings" or "Universal Intercom Pairing."

Troubleshooting

• Intercom Failure: If you hear low-toned double beeps, the other rider is likely out of range or busy.
• Intercom Reconnection: If disconnected, the unit automatically attempts to reconnect every 8 seconds.
• Fault Reset: If the unit is not working properly, use a paper clip to press the pin-hole reset button.
• Factory Reset: Press and hold the Phone Button for 10 seconds until the LED is solid red, then press the Jog Dial to confirm.
