Before installing your SOLTECH BROADWAY lights, please note the following critical requirements to ensure optimal performance:
- Initial Charge: The solar panel must be charged in full sunlight for 8 to 9 hours before the first use.
- Installation Location: Install the solar panel in a sunny location that receives 6–8 hours of direct sunlight each day.
- Operation: The lights turn on automatically at night and off during the day. They operate at 100% brightness for the first 4 hours, then switch to 25% brightness until dawn.
- Weather Impact: During continuous rainy or cloudy days, battery run time may be reduced as the battery will not be fully charged.
Product Overview
The BROADWAY series consists of solar-powered LED billboard lights available in 10W and 20W models. These units feature an integrated design that requires no electrical wiring, IP65 water and dust resistance, and an intelligent power-saving mode.
Specifications
The BROADWAY series is available in two power configurations:
- 10W Model: 5.5V 8W polycrystalline solar panel, 3.7V 17.6AH battery, 1,000 lumen output.
- 20W Model: 5.5V 17W polycrystalline solar panel, 3.7V 35.2AH battery, 2,000 lumen output.
- Common Specs: Both models feature a 120° beam angle, IP65 waterproof rating, and an operating temperature range of -4°F to 149°F.
Installation
There are two primary mounting methods for the BROADWAY lights:
Wall Mount
This method is typically used for standard billboards and commercial signage. Follow the provided diagrams to secure the bracket to the structure.
Long Arm Mount
Designed for thinner billboards, this mount uses a tighten-to-grip system. Note that Long Arm Mount accessories are not included in the standard packaging and must be requested from your sales representative.
- 10W Model: Requires two Long Arm Mounts.
- 20W Model: Requires three Long Arm Mounts.
Warranty
The BROADWAY series is covered by a 3-year limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship from the date of purchase. For warranty service, contact your local distributor or sales representative.
Practical help
Common problems
Reduced run time at night
Ensure the solar panel is installed in a location with sufficient sunlight. Continuous rainy or cloudy days will prevent the battery from fully charging.
Light does not turn on
Verify that the unit was charged for 8-9 hours in full sunlight before the initial use. Check that the solar panel is not obstructed.
Before use
- Charge the solar panel in full sunlight for 8 to 9 hours.
- Ensure the installation site receives 6-8 hours of direct sunlight daily.
- Verify you have the correct number of mounts (2 for 10W, 3 for 20W if using Long Arm).
- Check that the mounting surface is suitable for the chosen installation method.
