Quick guide for Steri-Run decontamination
This document provides instructions for running the Steri-Run decontamination routine on the Heracell Vios 160i and i160 incubators.
Preparation
Before starting the routine, ensure the device is prepared:
- Remove all samples and accessories (external probes, Hepa Filter, etc.) from the workspace. Note: The Unit Temp sensor must remain in the unit.
- Drain water from the reservoir and wipe up any residual water.
- Remove the silicone plug from the inner chamber side and plug it into the outer side of the access port to prevent damage.
Starting the Steri-Run
- Press the Steri-Run key to access the menu.
- Press the START key to activate the routine. The Steri-Run Progress dialog window will appear.
- Open the glass door until the buzzer sounds (approximately 30 seconds).
- Close the door after the buzzer sounds.
Operation and Completion
The decontamination routine will begin, and the device will heat up. The electromechanical door lock will engage at 65°C. The display will show the current status, including temperature, start time, phase, and remaining run time.
The routine takes approximately 12 hours to complete. Once finished, open both device doors to air the workspace when the audible alarm sounds.
Canceling the routine
The Steri-Run decontamination routine can be interrupted at any time by pressing the Stop key. If the Stop key is pressed, the Steri-Run stop dialog box will be displayed for a safety scan.

The electromechanical door lock engages automatically at 65°C during the routine.
