This document provides operating instructions for the Timex Expedition World Time Digital watch. Basic Operation
The watch uses four buttons for operation:
- SET: Saves changes and exits settings.
- MODE: Proceeds to the next setting step.
- ADJ: Increases the value (hold for rapid increment).
- INDIGLO: Decreases the value (hold for rapid decrement) and activates the night-light.
Time, Date, and World Time City
To set the time, date, and world time city:
- In Time of Day mode, press and hold SET until the City Code flashes.
- Use ADJ or INDIGLO to select the desired city code.
- Press MODE to select DST (Daylight Saving Time) if applicable, then use ADJ to toggle it on/off.
- Press MODE to cycle through and set Seconds, Hours, Minutes, Year, Month, Date, and Time Format (12HR/24HR).
- Press SET to exit the setting mode.
Chronograph
- Press MODE until “SP” appears.
- Press ADJ to start timing.
- Press SET to record a split time; the stopwatch continues in the background.
- Press SET to release the display and show the current running time.
- Press ADJ to pause, and SET to reset to zero.
Countdown Timer
- Press MODE until “TMR” appears.
- Press and hold SET to enter setting mode.
- Use ADJ/INDIGLO to set Hours, Minutes, and Seconds.
- Press SET to exit.
- Press ADJ to start or pause the timer.
- Press SET to reset the timer to its original duration.
Alarms
The watch features two daily alarms. To set an alarm:
- Press MODE until “AL1” or “AL2” appears.
- Press and hold SET until the hour digits flash.
- Use ADJ/INDIGLO to adjust the hour and minutes.
- Press SET to save.
- To turn the alarm or hourly chime on/off, press MODE to enter the alarm mode and use ADJ to cycle through the options.
Safety and Maintenance
WARNING: This product contains a button cell or coin battery. Ingestion can cause severe internal chemical burns or death within 2 hours. Keep batteries out of reach of children. If ingestion is suspected, seek immediate medical attention.
Water Resistance: Do not press any buttons while the watch is submerged. Rinse with fresh water after exposure to salt water. The watch is not intended for diving.
Battery: Timex recommends having the battery replaced by a retailer or jeweler. Do not dispose of batteries in fire or recharge them.

Common problems
The first press of SET will show the final recorded time; the second press will reset the stopwatch to zero.
Stop using the product immediately, remove the batteries, and keep them away from children.
Press any button to silence the alert; otherwise, it will stop automatically after about 10 seconds.

- Ensure the battery compartment is completely secure.
- Verify if your city observes Daylight Saving Time (DST) for accurate world time.
