Quick Guide from the Manual

The Tradequip 1063T Hydraulic Press is designed for professional workshop use, including straightening, bending, pressing, and removing gears, bearings, or bushings. Before use, ensure you have read and understood all safety instructions. Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, safety footwear, and close-fitting clothing. Never exceed the rated capacity of 20,000kg.

Assembly

Unpacking: Ensure the product is in perfect condition and dispose of packaging materials safely.

Main frame assembly diagram
Main frame assembly diagram
  1. Identify and lay out all parts. Bolt the cross legs to the bottom of the main frames.
  2. Bolt the upper crossbeam to the head of the main frames. If your model includes top and bottom plates, tighten nuts finger-tight initially.
  3. Insert the press platform support pins through the holes in the main frame. Tip the platform into a diagonal position to introduce it between the uprights, then lower it to a horizontal position resting on the support pins.

Operation

Installation: Securely attach the press to a flat, firm, level surface. Before operating, purge the hydraulic system by opening the release valve and pumping the handle several times to eliminate air.

Usage:

  • Position the working table at the desired height using the support pins.
  • Place the arbor plate or press tools on the table and align beneath the ram.
  • Place the workpiece on the table, ensuring it is evenly supported.
  • Operate the pump slowly until the ram touches the workpiece. Recheck alignment before applying full pressure.
  • Do not exceed the indicated stroke or apply off-center loads.
  • When finished, release the pressure to retract the piston/ram head.

Maintenance

  • Pre-use Inspection: Check for cracked, damaged, or loose parts before every use.
  • Lubrication: Lubricate all moving parts at regular intervals.
  • Hydraulic Fluid: Use only good quality hydraulic jack oil. Do not use brake fluid.
  • Storage: Store in a dry location with the ram and piston fully retracted to prevent corrosion.
  • Purging: If the system malfunctions, purge the system to remove trapped air.

Troubleshooting

If the press fails to build pressure, ensure the release valve is tightly closed and bleed the hydraulic system. If the ram will not hold a load, the release valve may not be closed, or the main seals may be damaged. If the ram fails to retract, check for an overfilled reservoir or binding linkages. For persistent issues, contact a qualified technician.

Practical help

Common problems

Ram will not build pressure

Ensure the release valve is tightly closed and bleed the hydraulic system to remove air.

Ram will not hold load

Check if the release valve is tightly closed; inspect for damaged main seals or obstructed check valve.

Ram will not retract after unloading

Check for overfilled reservoir or binding linkages; lubricate the release valve pin.

Poor force performance

Check fluid level and fill if low; bleed the system to remove trapped air.

Before use

  • Inspect for bent, broken, cracked, or leaking parts.
  • Ensure all bolts and nuts are firmly tightened.
  • Verify the surface is stable, level, dry, and non-slippery.
  • Wear safety glasses, safety footwear, and protective clothing.
  • Ensure the workpiece is evenly distributed across the press plates.
  • Purge the hydraulic system of air before first use.

Specs in practice

Safe Working Capacity
The maximum load the press can safely handle (20,000kg).
Working Range
The vertical space available for workpieces (30mm to 870mm).
Piston Ram Stroke
The maximum distance the ram can extend (185mm).

Images and diagrams

  • The parts diagram illustrates the assembly of the main frame, including the uprights, crossbeams, and support pins.
  • The exploded view of the hydraulic pump details the internal components, including the release valve, oil tank, and seals.

Model compatibility

  • Use only TradeQuip identical replacement parts; using other parts will void the warranty.
  • Use only good quality hydraulic jack oil; do not use brake fluid.
