The Tradequip 1198T is an auxiliary parts stand designed for the partial support and positioning of vehicle components during removal and installation. It is intended for use under a 2 or 4 post overhead vehicle lift or in a garage pit. Important: This stand is not for use in stabilizing or supporting vehicles. Always ensure the stand is used on a hard, level (concrete) surface and that the safe working capacity of 680kg is not exceeded.
Product Overview
The stand features a heavy gauge steel construction. It includes a threaded column for height adjustment, a saddle for component support, and a foot pedal for minor height adjustments.

Safety Checks
Before using the equipment, perform the following pre-operational checks:
- Check the vehicle owner's manual for the correct component weight.
- Ensure the stand is placed on a hard, level surface.
- Conduct a visual inspection for cracked welds, damaged, loose, or missing parts.
- Ensure the component is placed in the center of the saddle.
- Securely support the vehicle before placing the parts stand in position.
- Wear safety glasses, safety footwear, and close-fitting/protective clothing. Remove rings and jewelry.
Assembly Instructions

- Insert the smaller end of the threaded column through the bottom of the upright, allowing it to project out of the top.
- Place the bearing over the threaded portion while the assembly is in a horizontal position.
- Spin the adjusting handle clockwise onto the threaded portion.
- Insert the roll pin through the saddle and threaded column to fasten the saddle.
- Insert the upright assembly onto the base with the slot in the upright facing the foot pedal mount.
- Secure the upright using the larger pin, washer, and r-clip.
- Insert the pedal into the slot and secure it with the remaining pin, washer, and r-clip.
Operation
To Raise:
- Turn the adjusting handle clockwise until the saddle contacts the load. Ensure the load is centered on the saddle.
- Use the foot pedal to make slight upward adjustments to the saddle height if necessary. This allows for temporary adjustments without using your hands.
To Lower:
- Turn the adjusting handle counter-clockwise.
- Carefully remove the stand from underneath the vehicle.
- Slowly lower the vehicle to the ground using the overhead lift hoist control.

Periodically inspect each stand to ensure all parts move freely. Do not apply oil or grease to any part of this product. If rust appears, sand the affected area and cover it with suitable paint.
