Quick guide from the manual

The Tradequip 1145T is a 95-litre truck oil drainer designed for collecting waste oil from engines, gearboxes, and differentials. Before use, ensure the vehicle engine is off, the transmission is in park (or gear for manual), and the parking brake is applied. Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, footwear, and protective clothing. Be aware that oil in the vehicle's oil pan may be extremely hot.

Features

The unit features a 95-litre steel reservoir with a metal grate to prevent spillage. It is equipped with two fixed rear wheels and two front swivel castors for easy positioning under vehicles. Used oil can be evacuated via gravity or by using a manual/electric pump.

2. Install the front braked swivel castors on the brackets on each side of the front handle bracket.

3. Install the rear castor wheels at the rear of the reservoir.

4. Wrap teflon thread sealing tape (not included) clockwise around the drain outlet thread and attach the drain valve, ensuring the lever faces upward.

5. Insert the pump coupler into the top corner of the reservoir using the nylon washer.

Operation

Gravity Flow: Roll the drainer under the vehicle, position it under the sump plug, and open the drain valve. Once drained, roll the unit to an approved storage tank and open the valve to release the oil. A rubber hose can be attached to the barbed fitting for convenience.

Pump Evacuation: Attach a hose to the pump coupler. Use a manual or electric pump to transfer the oil to an approved waste disposal container.

Maintenance

  • After each use, remove the filter screen and clean off any accumulated debris.
  • Periodically check the tightness of all components, bolts, nuts, wheels, and the handle.
  • Occasionally open the drain valve and use a pipe cleaner to clear out any dirt or debris.
  • Always store the unit empty and clean in a dry location, away from ignition sources.
