The Tridonic LC 100W 24V lp SNC2 is a constant voltage LED driver designed for indoor use (IP20). Key installation requirements include using stranded wire with ferrules or solid wire with a cross-section of 0.5 to 1.5 mm². Insulation must be stripped to a length of 8.5 to 9.5 mm for proper connection to the push-wire terminals. The driver supports hot plug-in and is protected against overload, overtemperature, and short circuits.
Product description
This LED driver provides a constant output voltage of 24 V with a maximum power of 100 W. It is suitable for luminaires of protection class I and II. While the unit itself is not dimmable, it can be dimmed via external PWM LED dimmers attached to the output side. The device features a nominal lifetime of up to 75,000 hours.

Installation and wiring
Wiring guidelines: Cables should be run separately from mains connections to ensure good EMC conditions. The maximum secondary cable length is 2 meters (4 meters circuit). The driver does not have inverse-polarity protection on the secondary side; ensure correct polarity to avoid damaging LED modules.

Earth connection: The driver can be earthed via its metal housing. While not required for functionality, earthing is recommended to improve electromagnetic interference (EMI) behavior, reduce LED glowing at standby, and prevent transmission of mains transients.
Wiring procedure: Use the push-wire terminals for connection. To release wiring, press down the push button and remove the cable from the front.
Safety and protection functions
- Overload protection: If the maximum load is exceeded, the LED will flicker and output voltage will be reduced. The driver recovers automatically once the fault is removed.
- Overtemperature protection: If the temperature limit is exceeded, the LED will turn dark. If the temperature continues to rise, it will flicker and restart automatically after cooling down.
- Short-circuit behaviour: The output is switched off in case of a short circuit and recovers automatically when the fault is removed.
- No-load operation: The driver is protected and will not be damaged during no-load operation.
Technical specifications
The driver operates on a rated supply voltage of 220–240 V (50/60 Hz). It features a high efficiency of 90% at full load. The operating ambient temperature range is -20 °C to +50 °C. The dimensions of the unit are 360 x 30 x 21 mm.

Common problems
Check if the maximum load is exceeded. The driver has internal overload protection.
Overtemperature protection may be active. Ensure the driver is within the specified ambient temperature range and allow it to cool down.
Check for short circuits at the LED output. The driver will reset automatically once the fault is removed.
Before use
- Verify input voltage is 220-240 V AC.
- Ensure wire cross-section is between 0.5 and 1.5 mm².
- Strip insulation to 8.5-9.5 mm.
- Check polarity before connecting LED modules.
- Ensure the installation environment is within -20 °C to +50 °C.
- Confirm the luminaire enclosure provides necessary protection.
