This storage bed requires two people for assembly, particularly when installing the gas springs. The bed is designed for a mattress weighing between 35kg and 60kg. Always place the mattress on the frame before closing the bed to prevent damage.

Assembly preparation

• Ensure you have a clean, flat area (carpet or rug) to protect the product from scratches.
• Group and count all hardware before starting.
• Do not force joints during assembly.
• Tighten all screws to 70% initially, then tighten to 100% once all screws are installed.
• Verify you have the necessary tools (spanner, allen keys).

Assembly steps

The assembly process involves 17 steps, starting with the headboard and frame construction, followed by the metal frame and slat installation. Step 9 is critical and requires two people to hold the metal frame while the gas spring is assembled. Final steps include aligning the bed and installing the bedside tables.

Safety and usage

It is imperative that the bed is aligned squarely to prevent the frame from catching on and damaging the upholstered side rails. Use extra caution when opening and closing the bed for the first few times. Ensure the bed frame opens and closes through the center by using PP tape on the center of the metal frame.

Maintenance

Regularly dust with a dry cloth. For stubborn stains on melamine, laminate, linoleum, or metal surfaces, use a damp cloth and washing-up liquid. Avoid placing the product near open fires or high heat sources like radiators. Regularly check that all fasteners are tight.
